Who We Are
Global Aid Network South Africa, in short GAiN SA is part of a worldwide network that is committed to integral mission and equipped to respond to people in poverty, crisis and injustice with resources and expertise that reveal hope and restore life.
What We Do
We believe today's children are tomorrow's leaders, though unfortunately many children find themselves at a regrettable disadvantage with little hope for their future. Through the Young Hero Program, we help orphans and vulnerable children to have equal opportunities through better care, nutritional meals, and early childhood development, to help ensure a better standard of living and education, towards better prospects for when they enter adulthood and the workforce.

Hunger and food insecurity is a continual challenge in South Africa, which affect at least 11% (6,5 million) of the population, brought on by factors like poverty, high unemployment rate, the weak economy, rising prices, and conflict. This results in altered eating patterns for many households, like skimming on food purchases and skipping meals, which in turn cause malnutrition, hunger, and stunted growth and development in children. Since the Covid-19 related lockdown in March 2020 GAiN has distributed 20,7 tons of food, clothes, blankets, and other basic needs items to individuals, families, and institutions in Gauteng. We regularly distribute food to Motivation for Life ECD, Thusanang ECD, Xola Disability Center, Leratong Old Age Home and Call Her Blessed Shelter for Women.

Through generous giving by Laeveld Agrochem, GAiN has been able to
deliver Genesis Nutritional Meals, which have a very marked effect on
improving the health and energy levels of the patients, on a monthly
basis to them. Xola Disability Centre's greatest challenge is to have
enough and healthy food, and salaries for the staff. Theirs is an act of
enduring, self-sacrificing love.

Today’s children are tomorrow’s adults
Our foundation is founded on the belief that if we can reach the youth of today, we can create a better future for the youth of tomorrow.
